Sclera Contacts FAQ
What is the difference between 17mm Mini Sclera, 20mm, and 22mm Full Sclera contacts?
17mm Mini Sclera lenses extend past your iris to cover part of the white sclera area, giving an enlarged anime or demon eye effect with easier insertion. 20mm Expanded Sclera lenses provide near-total eye coverage for intense SFX looks. 22mm Full Sclera lenses cover the entire visible eye for complete, movie-grade transformations (such as all-black, pitch-red, or UV-glowing eyes).
Can I get 22mm Full Sclera contacts in my vision prescription?
Yes! MocoQueen is one of the very few brands worldwide that offers full prescription options (ranging from -0.00 up to -8.00) across our entire Sclera series, including 17mm, 20mm, and 22mm sizes. You no longer have to choose between wearing glasses or having full-coverage cosplay eyes.
Can I see clearly when wearing Sclera contact lenses?
Yes. Unless marked specifically as "Blind" or "Mesh" lenses, all MocoQueen Sclera contacts feature a clear center pupil opening. Your sclera and iris will be fully colored, but your central line of vision remains unobstructed so you can safely walk around conventions, photoshoots, and Halloween events.
How should a beginner choose the right Sclera contact lens size?
If you are completely new to contact lenses or SFX makeup, we strongly recommend starting with 14.2mm Standard or 17mm Mini Sclera lenses. They offer a dramatic anime/demon effect while being significantly easier to insert. If you already have experience wearing regular cosmetic or clear prescription contacts, you can confidently step up to 20mm Expanded or 22mm Full Sclera lenses for full-eye coverage using the "tuck and roll" technique.
How do I put in and take out 22mm Sclera lenses safely?
For 22mm Sclera lenses, use the "tuck and roll" technique: Lubricate your eye with rewetting drops, look upward, gently tuck the bottom edge of the lens under your lower eyelid, then lift your upper eyelid and roll the top of the lens into place. To remove, apply lubricating drops, look up, gently slide the lens down, and pinch softly with clean fingertips.
How long can I safely wear Sclera contacts, and how fast is US shipping?
We recommend wearing 22mm Full Sclera lenses for a maximum of 4 to 6 hours per wear, bringing lubricating eye drops along. Because all orders ship directly from our US-based warehouse, Express Shipping delivers your order in just 1–5 business days.
